Q-1. I have a laptop running Windows 7 and it doesn't want to go into sleep mode. Instead, it beeps and immediately displays the logon screen. What should I do?

A-1. Open Device Manager (devmgmt.msc) and make sure that "Allow this device to wake the computer" setting is unchecked on the Power Management tab of the properties for all devices that can wake the machine including network cards, smart cards, and so on.
